PRE- SBP & COMPANY VISITS

From July 1 to July 5 - Alicante Summer 2013

THE VISITS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE DEPENDING ON THE AVAILABILITY OF EACH COMPANY.
STUDENTS WILL BE INFORMED ABOUT THE FINAL SCHEDULE.

The ISP organizes a number of visits to Spanish and European institutions and to several successful companies from Alicante, where students learn about their national and international markets, products, business strategies, etc. Students will have the opportunity to meet and talk with representatives from each company.
Our visits include official institutions and companies from different sectors (Shoe-manufacturing, Clean and renewable energies, Tourism, etc).

MONDAY – JULY 1 _{'ORIENTATION SESSIONS’ & PIKOLINOS COMPANY VISIT'}

TIME: 9:00 – 1:00pm

LOCATION: Facultad Filosofía y Letras II – Aula Magna (campus map nº 19)

ACTIVITY: Meeting with all International students - ¨ORIENTATION Sessions and visit to Pikolinos Company (shoes)

DESCRIPTION: Two parts:

1. Students will be informed by the Director and UA Assistants about Alicante city, province and its University (maps, transport, safety, etc). CAMPUS TOUR.

2. Students will be taken by bus to the most international company located in Elche near Alicante. The visit will include a tour, museum visit and a presentation by staff from company.

TUESDAY – JULY 2 _{'MUSTANG COMPANY AND ELCHE CITY}'

TIME: 10:00 – 2:00pm

LOCATION: Elche

ACTIVITY: Visit to MUSTANG Company (shoes) and Official Visit to Elche City Hall

DESCRIPTION: Students will be taken by bus to the company located in Elche near Alicante. The visit will include a tour, museum visit and a presentation by staff from company.

WEDNESDAY – JULY 3 _{'EUROPEAN UNION'}

TIME: 10:00 – 1:00pm.

LOCATION: The Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market (OHIM), EU Office.

ACTIVITY: FORMAL Visit to the EU Agency in Alicante

DESCRIPTION: the students will visit the Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market (OHIM), a European Union agency responsible for registering trade marks and designs that are valid in all 27 countries of the EU and located in Alicante.

THURSDAY – JULY 4 ‘ALICANTE CITY’

TIME: 10:am – 2:00pm

ACTIVITY: V isit to Hotels in Alicante

DESCRIPTION: Students will be taken by bus to different companies to meet hotel managers and visit their infrastructure.

FRIDAY – JULY 5 FEMPA & AISCAN COMPANY (BIAR)

TIME: 9:00am – 1:00pm

ACTIVITY: Two Company Visits

DESCRIPTION: Students will be taken by bus to different companies to visit their infrastructure.

1. Pre-SBP (Company Visits) – 1^st week July

* For UA students: 70 Euros

* For non UA: 90 Euros

*This includes: organized visits to companies & meetings & Transportation by bus.
